Don Bosco Technical School, Kalimpong was established in 2003 for School dropouts and economically backward youth and is owned and run by the Salesians of Don Bosco. Don Bosco Group is spread across 132 countries having thousands of training institutes world-wide, and over 125 locations in India catering to skilling and employability needs of the youth. With its motto “Learn, Earn, and Heaven”, the institute intends to mainstream the youth into the formally organized job market through market driven skill development interventions. The course modules are designed carefully with industry inputs to keep in tune with the changing demands of the market. With its rich experience in the field of technical education, Don Bosco Technical School opens new horizons of opportunity for the young people of North India. It is a minority institution, however, the Institute admits all the youth irrespective of cast or religion. Don Bosco is Committed to accompany the young people especially, the less privileged in their journey to self-realization and fulfillment. The main aim of the Institute is to impart sound Moral and Technical Training through which institute helps the trainees to form good habits of piety, virtue, self-discipline, hard work and self-reliance during the years of their training. The method of education followed in the school is the system taught and practice by St. John Bosco. It is based on Reason, Religion and Loving Kindness.
